Overview: Karuppati looks like a chocolate in the shape of hemisphere. It is being prepared from the palm sapling sap which is extracted skillfully this sap is poured into the earthen pots or coconut shells , the manufacture process does involve the addition of chemicals. This is mostly made in between January to May. It is considered as a storehouse of many minerals like Iron, magnesium, phosporous and potassium.This generally stored in a palm sack to get air circulated.But palm jaggery benefits are enviable because of its medicinal properties.
